Open garden

For the first time I was able to get to this morning's Friends' Meeting through the gardens, rather than round them. Here's the Meeting House with its garden.

Apparently the new wooden fence is indeed a temporary measure to protect the plants while they bed in. Phew. Some areas of the garden are still quite barren, and some of the new plants have been parched by the recent heat.

Now added, j, thanks for the prod (there's nothing like knowing that someone actually cares enough to notice that the blog has been quiet!)
